Approved medical transport
Consultations, treatments, dialysis, hospital admission: a taxi approved by the health insurance, on medical prescription.
Fare
covered on prescription
Trip time
return trips and regular sessions
An approved taxi (taxi conventionné) is one that has signed an agreement with the health insurance fund. On a medical prescription, your trip to the hospital or to your treatment is then covered, and in most cases you pay nothing upfront.
What to bring
- The medical transport prescription, given by your doctor before the trip (except in an emergency)
- Your carte Vitale
- The date and time of your appointment, so we can plan the return
How it is covered
- 55% in the general case, 100% in particular for a trip linked to an exempting long-term condition (ALD) or a work accident
- Third-party payment when your condition allows a shared ride and you accept it
- A deductible of €4 per trip stays with you, capped at €8 per day
Good to know
A trip of more than 150 km needs the prior agreement of the health insurance. A taxi that is not approved is not reimbursed: ask before you book, we answer straight.
For regular treatments, we keep the same driver and the same times, from one session to the next.
A licensed taxi: the rules are on your side
Regulated fare
Set every year by the authorities, displayed inside the car.
Card accepted
Whatever the amount, even for a short ride.
A receipt
Handed over from €25, and on request below that.
Approved medical transport
On prescription, with your carte Vitale.
